The Ball Mount, also called a receiver or hitch bar, slips into your trailer hitch and is the platform for your hitchball. It is also a critical element in determining whether your trailer runs down the road in a level position.
Putnam Hitch Products manufacture a variety of ball mount styles. Choose from tube style, solid steel, adjustable, multi-tow and mini styles.
With ratings from 2,000 pounds up to an industry leading 15,000 pounds, we have the perfect ball mount for any towing application. In addition, our entire line of ball mounts (except our Chrome ball mounts) are protected by Polyshield, Putnam’s exclusive corrosion fighting finish.

Tube Style Ball Mounts
Putnam Hitch Products produces tubular ball mounts available in 2”, 4”, 6” and 8” drops. Each of these ball mounts can be used either in the drop or rise position providing you with the flexibility you need to insure your hitchball and trailer are at matching heights. Our tubular ball mounts range in weight capacity from 5,000 to 6,000 pounds.
Our 2”, 4” and 6” drop ball mounts are also available in Chrome finish to help spruce up the look of your tow vehicle.

Solid Steel Ball Mounts
Our solid steel XDR ball mounts come standard with an unmatched 15,000 rating*. With a choice of 2”, 4” and 6” drops, we have the right heavy-duty ball mount for you. |
Mini Ball Mounts
If you have a 1-1/4” or a 1-5/8” square receiver hitch, Putnam Hitch Products has a variety of ball mounts for you to choose from, including our new 1-1/4” x 6”drop with a 2,000 pound rating. |

Adjustable Ball Mounts
The perfect ball mount if you own more than one tongue trailer. With over 10” of drop and over 9” of rise, a Putnam Hitch Products adjustable ball mount provides you with the ability to match the height of your hitchball to the height of different trailers.
Putnam Hitch Products offers you two different styles of adjustable ball mounts.
You can also get a Putnam Hitch Products adjustable “Double Tow” ball mount with either 1-7/8” & 2” hitchballs or 2” & 2-5/16” hitchballs.

Multi Tow Ball Mounts
If you own multiple trailers with different size couplers, a Putnam Hitch Products “Multi-Tow” ball mount is ideal. Our multi-tow ball mounts come in both double and triple ball models. |
Pintle Mount
Pintle mounts allow you to use a variety of “hooks,” a coupling device used in double trailer, triple trailer and truck-trailer combinations. There are a variety of uses in construction and agricultural fields.
